Getting from Bangkok to Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi International Airport:
- Taximeter from the airport: This is really the fastest way, for around +/-1200 baht you can reach Pattaya in just over an hour.
- Mini-bus: More expensive than the bus, but some companies drop you off at your hotel.
- Bus: It’s the cheapest, easiest and just a little slower than a taxi. Buses leave every hour from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., the trip takes 2 hours and costs around 120 baht. The buses are on level 1, gate 8 of arrivals.
Go from Bangkok to Pattaya from other places in Bangkok:
- From Ekkamai: The bus station dedicated to transport to the east of the country is Ekkamai, which you can easily reach by Skytrain or taxi by getting off at the station of the same name, Ekkamai. There you will find many buses that leave every 30 minutes from 5 am to 11 pm and cost around 125 baht.
- From Mochit: Similar priced air-conditioned buses also leave the North Bus Terminal (Mochit) between 5.30 am and 8.00 pm
- From Sai Tai Mai: If you are near the South Bus Station (Sai Tai Mai), buses leave from 5:30 am, to 6:30 pm. This is the bus station which is near Khao San Road.
To the Airport:
Pattaya has an airport, in Utapao, with flights from Koh Samui, Phuket or Udon Thani landing there as well as some international flights.
